In order to actively expand overseas cooperation, build an international exchange platform, and broaden the international perspective of students, our school plans to organize students to visit and exchange at the University of Setis in Mexico for a period of 12 days from July 15 to 26, 2024. The project content includes centralized teaching, enterprise visits, and cultural exchanges.
1、 Introduction to Setis University
Setis University is located in northwest Mexico and currently has campuses in Mexico, Tijuana, and Ensenada, offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs in management and business, engineering, social sciences, and humanities.
In addition, Setis University is one of only ten institutions in Latin America that have received accreditation from American institutions. The Business and Management program at Setis University has obtained international certification from the American Business School Accreditation Board (ACBSP), while the Engineering program has obtained international certification from the American Engineering and Technical Accreditation Board (ABET).
2、 Project time and location
Time: July 15th to July 26th, 2024 (local time), a total of 12 days
Location: Ensenada Campus, Mexico
3、 Course Introduction
The courses for this visit are managed by the University of Setis in Mexico, and the teaching language is English. Students who participate in and complete all lectures throughout the course will receive a graduation certificate for this project.

4、 Project costs
$2375 per person, including:
1. Registration fee of $100 per person;
2. Project fee of 925 US dollars per person;
3. Accommodation fee of $750 per person (Setis University will provide hotels or apartments near the campus as accommodation locations, with one room for two people)
4. Corporate and cultural visits cost $600 per person.
During my stay in Mexico, transportation expenses (including public transportation to and from the hotel and campus), as well as tickets or admission tickets for group activities, will be paid by Setis University.
Excluding: international round-trip airfare and taxes, overseas travel insurance (must be purchased by oneself), various expenses required for obtaining a personal passport and visa, airport transfer fees, meal expenses (approximately $25/person/day), and personal expenses.
*Setis University specifically recommends 25 applicants for Western Polytechnic University to waive registration fees of $100 per person and project fees of $925 per person. According to the school's funding policy, the International Cooperation Office provides funding of no more than 10000 yuan per student. Other expenses shall be borne by the students themselves.
5、 Application conditions
1. Our university offers full-time undergraduate and graduate students (with unlimited majors);
2. Love the motherland and have a correct concept of international exchange;
3. Have good physical and mental health, be interested in Mexican culture, and have a strong spirit of teamwork;
4. Abide by laws and regulations, consciously maintain the national image and school reputation, and strictly follow the school's designated time for dispatch and return to school;
5. Have a certain foundation in English, can understand English teaching and participate in classroom interactions.

5. Students who have not yet applied for a passport or whose passport has expired, please apply as soon as possible after registration and confirm that the passport is valid after February 1, 2025.
7、 Project funding
The International Cooperation Office of the school will provide financial assistance to students who have successfully participated in the project and completed their visits according to the school's requirements. The funding will be implemented in accordance with the standards of the Management Measures for Undergraduate Exchange Funding for Northwestern Polytechnical University Students Going Abroad.
