3、 Introduction to Foreign Universities: National University of Singapore (NUS), also known as NUS, is one of Singapore's leading world-class universities. It is a certified member of AACSB and EQUIS, and a member of the Asian University Alliance, Asia Pacific International Education Association, International Research University Alliance, Universitas 21 University Alliance, and Pacific Rim University Association. NUS is renowned worldwide for its research in fields such as engineering, life sciences and biomedical, social sciences, and natural sciences.
In November 2018, Times Higher Education in the UK released the 2018 Global Graduates Employment Competitiveness Ranking, ranking 10th in the world. In May 2019, it ranked second in the 2019 Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings. On June 19, 2019, the 2020 QS World University Rankings were released, and the National University of Singapore ranked 11th. In the 2024 QS World University Rankings, the National University of Singapore ranked 8th globally, maintaining its position as the top Asian university for the sixth consecutive year.
4、 Background of project cooperation
The School of Public Policy and Administration has trained students in economics, law, and public Administration disciplines, and has produced a large number of talents in economics, law, and public Administration for society. At the same time, the college supports the comprehensive development of students and is committed to cultivating leading talents with patriotism, pursuit of excellence, and leading the future. It emphasizes the cultivation of students' professional qualities and practical abilities, and attaches great importance to the cultivation of students' professional abilities. While doing a good job in theoretical teaching, the college actively carries out vocational ability training, cooperates with well-known overseas universities, and promotes mutual visits and exchanges between teachers and students. To implement the talent development goals of the college, we have collaborated with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and the Law School of the National University of Singapore to customize a summer study program to enhance students' ability to conduct public policy research and analysis, and to cultivate innovative awareness of key challenges when translating policies into law.
5、 Project schedule
Summer vacation in 2024, a total of 8 days; Planned to be from July 21st to July 28th (specific travel time will be determined based on the school holiday and the course schedule of the National University of Singapore)
6、 Project costs
20 or less people do not form a group, 20-25 people 18800 yuan/person, 26-30 people 17800 yuan/person, 31 or more people 16800 yuan/person
The cost includes: accommodation (including breakfast) during the project period, transportation expenses during the project period, pre departure tutoring, accident insurance, project arrangement, guest lectures, visits to famous enterprises, venue, teaching materials, and other expenses. The cost does not include:
Round-trip airfare between China and Singapore, lunch and dinner expenses, urban transportation expenses, personal expenses during the project period, and additional expenses incurred due to personal needs.
7、 Project highlights
1. Customized courses to adapt to the college's training objectives
According to the talent cultivation goals of the college, customize specialized learning activities to assist the school in cultivating leading talents with patriotism, pursuit of excellence, and leading the future.
2. Professors teach and absorb excellent academic content
In this event, professors or associate professors from relevant majors at the National University of Singapore will be invited to bring students professional courses from the university, understand academic content in Singapore, compare different perspectives on professional content between China and Singapore, and engage in collisions; Lead students to experience the classroom teaching mode of the National University of Singapore and experience different learning atmospheres during the learning process.
3. Application practice, combining theory with practice
At the end of the course, the learned content will be combined with practical cases, and the learned content will be applied to practice in the form of group presentations. Theory and practice will be combined to understand the specific ways of applying knowledge, deepen the learning content in the practical process, and improve the practical application methods in the learning process.
4. Course evaluation, quantifying student learning outcomes
Inviting professionals to evaluate the on-site presentation of student team achievements, pointing out the strengths and weaknesses of the team's achievements, in order to help students improve their results in a timely manner; Score all teams on site and quantify practical results; And select excellent teams and provide additional rewards to motivate students to continuously absorb course content and apply the knowledge they have learned.
8、 School funding policy
No more than 5000 yuan per person in the Asian region.
Note: Each student can only receive winter and summer project funding once within a natural year.
