At 2 pm on March 20, 2019, the School of Humanities and Economics and Law organized a seminar on "International Energy Policy and Sustainable Development" in the 208 meeting room of the Chang'an Campus. Graduate students and some undergraduates from the School of Economics participated in the seminar.
The seminar was co-chaired by Simon Taylor, a professor at the Judge Business School of Cambridge University, and Zhang Shanshan, an assistant professor in the economics department . During an hour-long discussion, the two conducted in-depth discussions in the form of questions and answers on sustainable development issues that are currently focusing on the world, such as fossil energy, renewable energy, green finance, international policy forms, and climate change governance. The seminar was conducted in the form of interview questions and answers, combined with factual display based on real data, and carried out relevant discussions at the forefront of domestic and foreign academic and policy issues. During the seminar, Professor Simon Taylor interacted with teachers and students many times. In particular, Professor Simon introduced himself in Chinese and brought a lot of surprises to the participants.
The School of Humanities and Economics and Law will continue to conduct academic exchanges and mutual visits with Professor Simon and the Judge Business School of Cambridge University to promote all-round cooperation in teaching and research in the future.
