The Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education recently announced the evaluation results of the 2020 Shaanxi Higher Education Science and Technology Award. The "Survey and Research on the Implementation of the Precision Poverty Alleviation Policy in Poverty-stricken Counties in Southern Shaanxi" declared by Assistant Professor Zheng Ye and Professor Wang Chunping of our school won the first prize of Technology Award (Soft Science).
This achievement is on the field of public management and public policy which includes a number of high-level research papers, provincial and ministerial government leaders acceptance letters, etc. It provides feasible suggestions for the targeted poverty alleviation of poor counties in southern Shaanxi, and actively responds to and contributed to the realization of the country's 2020 comprehensive poverty alleviation goal.
In recent years, the research team of Professor Wang Chunping of our school has devoted itself to research in the field of targeted poverty alleviation and regional governance, and conducted in-depth investigations on poor counties such as Shangnan and Ziyang in Shaanxi Province, as well as many rural credit cooperatives and leading township enterprises. Winning the first prize of the Shaanxi University Science and Technology Award (Soft Science) this time also marks the long-term accumulation and breakthrough of the research team in the field of precision poverty alleviation.
