In order to broaden the international perspective of our students and improve our students' cross-cultural communication, learning, and research capabilities, the School of Humanities and Economics and Law, and the School of Software and Microelectronics cooperated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for the first time to  implement the 2019 winter vacation. Artificial intelligence and big data overseas study programs, 21 outstanding students from different majors were selected from January 19 to February 2 to carry out a half-month overseas study program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States. The various study tours were completed.

During the two-week study tour to the United States during the winter vacation, the study team listened to special lectures at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Boston, systematically studied courses in artificial intelligence and big data, and thoroughly experienced local American culture and life.

At MIT, they arranged courses and lectures around the subject of artificial intelligence and unmanned applications for our students. This course combines MIT's research advantages in artificial intelligence and is divided into: machine learning, Supervised learning, reinforcement learning, sensor networks and applications, intelligent robots, etc. During the class, students learned to use Microsoft Azure Machine Learning Studio to build a simple machine learning model and trained them. After the class, they also actively discussed with professors and teaching assistants to solve problems encountered in class in a timely manner.

The overseas study tour project organized by our college started in April 2017. After three years of hard work, the School of Humanities and Economics Law has successfully held 9 sessions. 100 selected students have been selected at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology University, Cleveland State University, University of Edinburgh, University of Warwick, Kazakhstan and other places have carried out cross-cultural education, teaching experience, and achieved success.
